Microsoft To-Do Creates New Tasks Folder

I just noticed that Microsoft To-Do created a new Tasks folder under my Calendar then used that to place new items I created from the To-Do app.  Is that by design?

Can you please share a screenshot? I use To-Do and don't have that. All tasks are created in the Tasks folder which is at the root level of my mailbox.

Unfortunately, I can't take a screenshot.  In an effort to try reproduce the problem, I removed the app and deleted the "new" Tasks folder.  When I downloaded the app and ran the setup again, it no longer created that "new" Tasks folder under the Calendar root folder.  So, I can't reproduce the issue.

I do know, for certain, that this Tasks folder under the Calendar root folder was created by the To-Do app because new items I created in the To-Do app showed up in this "new" folder rather than the root-level Tasks folder.
