I have a SharePoint online site that I created years ago with my Microsoft account. When I created it I had a specific purpose in mind and so picked a subdomain that matched that purpose - e.g. https...

- @Kidd_lp, thanks for the suggestion but this requires use of the new SharePoint Admin Center, and a quick attempt has confirmed that one can only authenticate against it with a "work or school" account and not with a Microsoft account. 😞
