Microsoft 365 Family Group

I am considering the Microsoft 365 Family plan for up to 6 people. I would need to set up OneDrive for file sharing. Apparently it is now possible to add a group for file sharing with people outside the family of 6. How many people can the files be shared with? Also, If the same folder is to be shared with 6 family members plus people outside the family, can the link be sent to both groups? Or can they all be in one group to avoid confusion? Thanks.
