Lock Specific Form Fields in word after the filed in filled in.

I have created a fillable form that is restricted editing, that needs to go through several approval processes.

Is there a way to lock specific form fields as an approval filed is filled in?

Maybe with a Javascript or some other feature, I do not know about.
