License Administration for large organizations
How do other large organizations handle license administration? We are 13,000 users and I would like the ability to assign licenses to individual E3 components based on membership of Active Directory groups. For example, have AD groups for Skype, Yammer, Sharepoint, Planner, etc. and only switch on that component for the user if they are in the AD group. I've been trying to script this with powershell but it's not easy. Most scripts I've found online only cater for assigning an entire E3 license or switching on the same components for all users.
Anyone willing the share their solution or give advice?

- Definitively, PowerShell is the way to go...or pay a third party tool that helps you on licensing in Office 365. In the first case, I recommed to write your scripts from scratch...alternatively you coul hire someone to do it

You can able to assign licenses for users based on Distribution lists. This tool from technet will work for this case.
