Exchange Server 2016 reached its end of support on October 14, 2025. As of January 2026, it is no longer supported for hybrid deployments with Exchange Online. Although Exchange 2016 can still operate in a hybrid configuration, Microsoft has ceased providing security updates, bug fixes, and technical support. Continued use therefore introduces significant compliance and security risks. To maintain a secure and supported hybrid environment, organizations are strongly advised to upgrade to Exchange Server Subscription Edition (SE) or transition fully to Exchange Online.
