"Install Office 2016" button disappeared for Mac users, but setting is still ON in Admin Center.

Not sure if this is the place to ask for help on this, but we're seeing that the "Install Office 2016" button suddenly disappeared for our Mac users on any browser. Windows users can still see the button on any browser.

 

The option is ON for both platforms in "Admin Center > Settings > Services & add-ins > Office software download settings." So, we're not sure why it's not showing for Mac users.

 

Any ideas?

  • Hi I noticed the same but you can get the install here https://portal.office.com/account/#installs

      Hi Paul,

      Yes, we realize that it still shows up under the "My Accounts > View Account" panel, but I think you'd agree that this is not as user-friendly as a very obvious button on the portal page.

      We're just wondering if this is the new normal, or just some glitch that MS is aware of and, hopefully, is trying to fix.
