I cannot add RSS feeds anymore in Outlook 2024
This worked before. I tried various RSS links, it is not the link, it loads fine in a web browser. I think it is related to the connectivity. I am using Outlook 2024 as part of Microsoft Office...
Take this to locate and fix:
Step 1: Enable RSS Feed Sync in Outlook
- Go to File > Options > Advanced
- Scroll to RSS Feeds
- Make sure “Synchronize RSS Feeds to the Common Feed List (CFL) in Windows” is checked
Step 2: Check Send/Receive Settings
- Go to Send/Receive > Send/Receive Groups > Define Send/Receive Groups
- Ensure RSS feeds are included and scheduled to sync every 30–60 minutes
Step 3: Change RSS Feed Folder
- Go to File > Account Settings > RSS Feeds tab
- Select a feed and click Change Folder
- Choose a local PST folder (not one managed by GWSMO)
Step 4: Enable Outlook Logging
To trace deeper issues:
- Go to File > Options > Advanced
- Scroll to Other and check “Enable troubleshooting logging”
- Restart Outlook and reproduce the issue
- Logs will be saved to:
C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Temp\Outlook Logging
Step 5: Update or Reinstall GWSMO
- Download the latest version from Google’s official GWSMO portal
- Reinstall and reconfigure the sync profile
- Ensure GWSMO isn’t blocking Outlook’s access to local storage or feeds
