How to run a Summary report Message Trace on a Custom time range?

What they mean is "older than 10 days", not a time range greater than 10 days. And yes, it's slower as it run asynchronously on the server. You will get an email notification once it's finished.
- This is ridiculous. So anything older than 10 days even if you specify it down to a 30 minute window needs to wait hours to get the report. So i have no way to actually check in real time some of these issues. If i have the date and time the message was sent i should be able to specify that and the console should be able to come back with the message details in real time.
Please address MS. i get if wantint to look at 10 days worth of mail why that takes so long. but do not get it if i just set the date to the past by more than 10 days that it takes just as long as searching 10 full days of mail. oh well another MSism
