How can I make it easy to re-apply a filter on a different worksheet?

I wish to make an Excel 2019 .xlsx spreadsheet available to the public to download and use themselves. Users need to enter a parameter on Sheet1 that is used by a filter on Sheet2 which I don't want users to have to open in order to "re-apply the filter". Is there any way of enabling them to invoke "re-apply the filter" on Sheet2 from Sheet1. I thought I could simply instruct them to Ctl-Alt-L but this must be done from Sheet2. Is there a way of doing this from Sheet1? A VBA-macro would do this but users won't trust an .xlsm spreadsheet.
