Try this as temporary workaround:
1. Reboot and re-enroll
• Remove the device from Intune.
• Reboot the Mac.
• Re-enroll using the Company Portal.
• This resets the agent’s sync state and may stop the CPU spike.
2. Limit compliance policies
• If your tenant applies multiple overlapping compliance policies, try reducing them to a single scoped policy per device group.
• Avoid policies that check for custom scripts or app installs unless necessary.
3. Disable background sync
sudo launchctl bootout system /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.microsoft.intune.mdmagent.plist
⚠️ This disables the agent until next reboot
4. Update Intune agent and macOS
• Ensure you are running the latest Intune Company Portal and macOS patches.
