Help: MS Word 365 document does not respond to footnote formatting procedure.
I have followed the steps as outlined in this MS video exactly, yet it has no effect on my document's footnote numbers. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/video-change-footnote-font-size-and-...
Maybe the footnote reference has lost its superscript formatting? To fix that, add superscript back to the Footnote Reference style.
If necessary, you can also use Find & Replace to (re-)apply the Footnote Reference style to all footnote markers. Use ^f in the "Find what" box and specify Footnote Reference as the style to use in the "Replace with" box. Run a Replace All.
