Group policy for Outlook 2016 to set default font
Another reg hack for a native MS application. I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed...
What is the point of admin templates when they hardly work or don't offer the option required. We end up with another reg-hack to do simple things that the enterprise/corporate world has needed for 20 years.
Edit: I should add, I'm very grateful for the time taken to share the reg key locations and even going to the trouble of mentioning the XML conversion. Thank your sir/madam!
ITGuy337 What you are saying is SO true! It's stupid you can change font easy for Excel with GPO but not for Word and definitely not Outlook. It's lame.

Hello all,
I also was looking for a solution to this.
I think the idea of converting the reg file to an XML is working good.
But for me it was much easier to just use the GPP registry import wizard so
1. Configure the right settings with the user account and Outlook version that you need
2. create an empty GPO for the setting and if necessary give the user account edit permission
3. On the source computer start the GPO console, open the GPO and edit the GPP.
4. Then import the settings with the registry import Wizard. Only use those values that were described in the original post + the "NewTheme" entry

Confirming for late-comers who wonder if this is still valid - Jan 2023, & the "anonymous" reply instructions above still work, converting .reg to .xml, etc.
Thanks!
