ghost user in outlook - how can i purge?
Hi Guys,
Ive an odd one. we had a user leave the organisation, his old email address forwarded to a relevant person and then he was deleted from AD. We now find that the user who had the mails forwarded to them appears as them by email address, but the correct image for AD. if I try powershell to get-recipient or get-mailbox, the deleted user does not appear, but, when I try @old.user he appears. I am at a loss at this point. if I look the @old user info, I see this entry:
/o=ExchangeLabs/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Recipients/cn=073b175279c04016abd6d60ac2f5b84b-Craig Shuki
but, I am unable to find this ou or cn anywhere.
any ideas guys?
kind regadrs
Pete
That's probably just the name cache entry, you can purge it by hitting delete next to the name when entering it in the to/cc line. If you mean you want to clear it from the @-suggestions, I'm not sure you can do that.
