Hi.

I am hoping this can be answered here.

 

I have a domain name with a hosting company ( X ) and was paying for website hosting, which I never used.

I talked with them about canceling the hosting plan and was assured I could keep my email account going with out it.

I upgraded my email to my email to Microsoft business plan, which is paid up till Nov. 2022.

they are telling me that I need to get Microsoft to host this now because I do not have a hosting plan with them.

Anyone have a similar situation that has been resolved??

    Hi Dano57 ,

     

    if you don't need website hosting, and you only need domain, you can keep domain with the company and just pay e-mail services to Microsoft.

     

    For e-mail system, you pay to Microsoft.

    For domain, you pay to the current company X.
