Disappearing applications
Hi, I had purchased a student version of Microsoft office, which included word excel and one note, a while back. After the last Microsoft update the files have disappeared. I can no longer open my documents without purchasing another version of 365, which is a little frustrating. It may have been a quirk with the download but I cant fathom it, I'm no expert. Is there anyone out there who has similar issue, or can provide a solution please

This is a common issue after Windows updates. Here’s a quick fix:
- Check if Office is still installed:
- Open Settings → Apps → search for Microsoft Office
- If found, run Quick Repair:
- Control Panel → Programs & Features → select Microsoft Office → Change → Quick Repair → Repair
- Check your Microsoft account:
- Go to office.com and sign in with the account you used to purchase Office – you can reinstall from there
- Find your documents:
- Look in your Documents folder
- Search for files ending with .docx or .xlsx
- Check C:\Windows.old if it exists
- If Office disappeared completely:
- Use the Office uninstall tool at aka.ms/SaRA-OfficeUninstall-sarahome
- Then reinstall from your Microsoft account
