Yup.
It's a pretty standard option for POP3 clients, and in fact all the "connected accounts" functionality does is to "pose" as a client and fetch your mail. Make sure to select it if you want to keep the original message intact.

thanks for your reply. So if the option 'leave a copy of messages on server' is not selected, all messages should be deleted, after they are fetched in Office 365 ?

What if your office 365 has the box checked and is greyed out? I want to uncheck it. Thanks for your help. -LC3
