Chosen font will not select

I have always used Biotif Light as my chosen font, recently it shows as an option but when selected it jumps to the italic version which I don't want, I have uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, restarted computer etc. Could anyone advise why this has recently become a problem? and how to fix if possible?
