Changing OneDrive destination folder for syncing pictures from an android mobile phone
My android phone currently syncs the photos I take to some obscure folder on my OneDrive. I want to change it and have my photos and videos saved to another folder.
There is no option on OneDrive app to do it.
Does anyone know how to do that? I presume it is possible because currently the pictures are synced to a folder under many tiers of folders I created, and not some generic folder like MyFiles > Pictures.
Unfortunately Microsoft support doesn't know an answer to that and I am having difficulty contacting OneDrive support.

pmalec I have done this before. I created a folder on onedrive and I was able to get my gallery photos to sync to a specific folder. unfortunately, I had to factory reset my phone and now I can't get it setup again.
But, there is a way to choose a folder rather than just have it update to general photo bucket.
Would love if anyone can tell us how to do that.
- KiwificateurCopper ContributorHi, have you found a way? I'm also very interested.

I have not, but i dug a little deeper and it seems like OneDrive is not connected to Gallery (android) on my phone properly. Under gallery settings,
Connect to OneDrive, i do not get a submenu, but an option to connect again to OneDrive.
When i try to connect, i get a server error.
It is kind of half connected. It copies the camera roll, but totally ignores albums.
It might be a new bug. Microsoft no longer has phone support or stores, so i have been unsuccessful contacting them.
So i think i will wait for an Android software upgrade and try it again.
Anyone else see either of these issues.
My understanding is, and I will assume M365 business account here, is that there is no way to change the destination of the sync in OneDrive for Business. Try this also as a starting point - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/automatically-save-photos-and-videos-with-onedrive-for-android-66605e54-48b8-4f55-bcff-34159702e344

- Open the OneDrive app on your Android phone.
- Tap the account image at the top of the app.
- Go to Settings and then Camera upload.
- Turn off Camera upload temporarily.
- Rename the current sync folder on OneDrive to your desired folder name.
- Turn Camera upload back on.

Thank you for the response. I tested your solution and it doesn't seem to work for me.
PS - My camera upload is called Camera Backup and I access it by navigating to me, then settingsm then camera backup.
I also have the additional problem with albums not being moved over fully. For instance, I have one folder called x and on my phone it contains 20 images. The folder is in the drive and called X but it contains 3 images and the rest are in main folder.
I think there is something broken with the OneDrive Connection.
