Change Default Mailbox Login/Auth Methods

The default settings for mailbox access includes login via pop/imap. I can turn off individual mailboxes, however would like to change the default settings to disable pop/imap.

Can this be done through an admin center? or is it only possible via powershell?

  • PowerShell is your best bet there is 2 lines of code you need to run check out this link

      Thanks Steve,

Bit strange this is enabled by default, with no UI to change it! Is pop/imap not considered a valid attack surface anymore?

haven't checked in a while what is now default on new tenants when provisioned - we just have it as a standard playbook item to disable them 🙂
