Can't find "Stocks" anymore.

I have Office 365 on my MacBook (I'm sure because I have checked "About" to make sure) and had developed a spreadsheet where I was able to pull stock data (end of day, hi, low, 52 week hi/low, etc.) into it and conveniently track my positions using the "Stocks" function in data types. It has disappeared from the data types (they building with columns symbol).  I have done all the things suggested when I search for the problem solution, but can't crack the code. I've updated Office, but no help. Does anyone have a step by step solution. Thanks.

you can follow these troubleshooting steps:

    Check for Account Subscription Issues:
Make sure you are still logged in with the account associated with your Office 365 subscription. Sometimes, features like data types are linked to your subscription status.
Verify that your subscription is active and not expired.

Update Excel to the Latest Version:
Even though you mentioned you've updated Office, make sure Excel is fully updated. Microsoft frequently updates Office applications, which may fix missing features.
Go to Excel > Help > Check for Updates to ensure you have the latest version.

Check Your Office 365 Account Type:
The "Stocks" data type is available only to users with Microsoft 365 subscriptions. Confirm that your account is indeed a Microsoft 365 subscription and not an older Office 2016/2019 license.

    Region Settings:
In some cases, the "Stocks" data type may not be available due to the regional settings of Excel or macOS.
Ensure your Language & Region settings in macOS are set to a region where the "Stocks" feature is supported (e.g., the United States).

    Data Types Tab Verification:
Go to the Data tab in Excel and check if the "Stocks" option appears there.
If it does not, try resetting the Excel ribbon by going to Excel > Preferences > Ribbon & Toolbar and click Reset to restore default settings.

    Try a Different Excel Workbook:
Sometimes the issue is specific to a particular workbook. Create a new Excel workbook and try using the "Stocks" data type.
Type a ticker symbol (e.g., AAPL) in a cell, select it, go to the Data tab, and see if you can convert it into the "Stocks" data type.

    Reinstall Office 365:
If the above steps don't work, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling Office 365. Reinstalling often helps reset any corrupted settings or missing features.
First, fully uninstall Office from your MacBook using the Uninstall Office utility. Then download and reinstall Office from your Microsoft account.

Check Internet Connection and Data Service:
The "Stocks" data type relies on an internet connection. Make sure you are connected to a stable network, as Excel needs to fetch data from Microsoft’s servers.
Also, verify that there are no restrictions or firewalls blocking access to Microsoft’s data services.

    Excel Add-ins:
Some add-ins or settings may interfere with Excel features.
Go to Excel > Preferences > Add-ins and disable any third-party add-ins. Restart Excel to see if this solves the problem.

Check for Feature Availability in Your Region:
Microsoft sometimes rolls out features at different times for different regions. If you're using a region that is unsupported, you may find that features like "Stocks" are unavailable.

    Report the Issue:
If none of the above steps resolve your issue, it could be a bug on Microsoft's end. You can report this issue directly from Excel by going to Help > Feedback > I have a suggestion or I have a problem. Provide details about your version and the steps you’ve taken.

I appreciate the response and suggestions. Have tried all to no avail but no luck, except haven’t uninstalled and reinstalled. That is next. Cheers
