When you create an invitation to a group (or team), Office 365 generates a guest user object in Azure AD. To withdraw the invitation, simply delete the Azure AD object with Remove-AzureADObject or through the Azure AD portal.

Thanks for the reply. I've been doing some testing and have following feedback/questions:
- After I've sent an invitation the Azure AD object is not created. It is only when the guest user accepts the invitation I see the user in my portal.
- I image that this situation only works of the user is invited on 1 SharePoint site? If he is already working on site A and you want to withdraw an invitation for site B, deleting the AD object will have an impact on both sites?
