Hi Marvin OcoSee section Locations in this articlehttps://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/securitycompliance/data-loss-prevention-policiesFrom Exchange Online perspective it is all users and groups. No exceptions or just adding it to single groups/users. With SharePoint you can exclude sites and with OneDrive you can exclude user accounts - up to 100 per policy.Hope that answers your question.Best, Chris

HI&nbsp;ChrisHoardMVP&nbsp;i tried to create policy , there is option to include/exclude DGs in exchange.What is in scope here? does it mean that all mailboxes who are member of DGs will also be scanned by DLP?&nbsp;

My understanding is that all the mailboxes in the DG will be scanned, but it's not well documented in the article mentioned by Chris
