Best way to add custom tiles to App Launcher

There are two ways to add custom tiles to the O365 app launcer.

 

- Office 365 portal (organizational profile)

- Azure (AD) portal (app registrations)

 

Since you can set the visibility of a tile via the second method (through permissions), why would one choose to use the first method?

    First option is much quicker in my opinion and you don't need to make any stuff in Azure AD: no App registration, no App configuration, ...
