We are experiencing an issue with the App Launcher. Currently there is only one Tab "Home" in IE and Chrome. Additionally, the ellipses are gone so no ability to pin anywhere any more. I have spun up a test DEV tenant from my MSDN and it is having the same issue. We currently have a ticket into Microsoft but wanted to check here to see if there are similar results since I could be waiting months for Microsoft to deal fix this.

We have also been seeing this for a number of weeks . Again solved by clearing cache but only temporarily. Looking for a permanent fix as planning on deploying apps via azure ad, so need this to be working soon.

Hi All, As previously mentioned, there are several different factors in play here. Every tenant and user is different, so it’s not necessarily true that your app launcher will look the same across every application. The new App Launcher introduced a new framework that will drive feature parity across all apps once it’s been implemented across the suite. Deleted The app launcher has two states: Default and Custom. Default is a basic layout with only the ‘HOME’ tab. The more advanced ‘Custom’ state requires an active Exchange Online mailbox (i.e. the user must have opened their mailbox on the web and set a time zone). This is because the custom fields are stored in exchange. After activating their mailbox there is sometimes a small delay in activation for the app launcher. VasilMichev Some applications do not yet support the full Office 365 App Launcher with the ‘Custom’ features and revert to the ‘Default’ view mentioned above with no tabs / pins. The team are actively working to expand support to make sure that all Office 365 applications from Word Online through to Dynamics 365 support the new App Launcher. Today, we see full support in OWA, OneDrive, Office.com, Yammer, SharePoint, Regarding the browser inconsistencies – we’re investigating this now. There should be no difference in performance, so we’re looking into what was causing this. It’s most likely a trusted site issue. It can be solved by removing the SPO/office domains.

We used to have the Home, New, and All tabs across all browsers but no longer have that option. As I stated before, we have no ellipses to pin, unpin, or resize as we once did. Do you have that? When I go to OWA I have the same App Launcher as I do within Sharepoint and the Portal.Office.Com admin site. Finally, on IE 11 there is no option at the bottom for All Apps.

The App Launcher experience should be the same across any of the Office 365 Apps no matter the browser you use :-( Anne Michels FYI

Any word back from Microsoft on this yet? Has anyone heard anything? If you put a ticket in on this, what did you submit it under? Tom Batcheler I've see you reply on other App Launcher messages, do you still work with this product team?

  Same with us, the only difference with your picture we have 3 tabs and ellipses on Admin and nothing of that on other apps (however, didn't check all of them)
