ADFS 3, WIndows 2012 R2

Hey Guys, 

Hoping you can clarify a point for me: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/connect/active-directory-aadconnect-get-started-custom#ad-fs-configuration-pre-requisites

My question is down at the bottom under DNS: 

Verify your federation configuration

It says the intranet configuration is complete (in the screenshot) and then shows the name sts.fabrikamonline.com, now is that pointed internally to the ADFS server itself? Or is it pointed to the WAP server's (internal IP)? 

I understand that externally the name is pointed to the WAP server. but internally i want to make sure the right way of configuring the DNS records.
