SMS code is not sent due to blocking
Hi Philipp_Ges ,
Unfortunately, people in the community forum (including engineers or Microsoft employees who may participate here) do not have the ability to send verification codes or bypass Microsoft’s account security systems. Account recovery and identity verification can only be handled through the official Microsoft account recovery process.
Because SMS delivery to Russian numbers is currently restricted, the normal verification method cannot complete. In these cases the only supported options are:
- Use another verification method already registered on the account (for example a recovery email, Microsoft Authenticator, or another phone number if one was previously added).
- Continue using the Microsoft account recovery form and provide as much historical information as possible (old passwords, services used, approximate account creation date, Xbox gamertag, etc.).
- Work with Microsoft Support through the service request that was already opened, since they are the only team that can review recovery attempts.
Community members cannot manually send security codes or override the verification process for security reasons. Microsoft account security is intentionally strict to prevent unauthorized access, even in difficult situations like SMS restrictions.
If the account has access to an alternate email or Microsoft Authenticator that was previously configured, trying the “Try another verification method” option on the sign-in page is often the best path forward.
