Viva Insights Delayed Delivery does not work when using a Delay Delivery rule.
Viva Insights Delayed Delivery does not work when using a Delay Delivery rule i.e.; I have a rule which states delay delivery for 2 minutes on all outgoing email. This rule is a safety buffer for when I hit the send button to quickly.
This is a known issue that this Viva Insights schedule send suggestions feature doesnt work with Outlook delay delivery rules. There is a note about this in the documentation here: Schedule send in Outlook - Microsoft Support
If a user sets a recurring rule to delay the Outlook email on Windows desktop, this rule will override and take place first. That's why the user see the email will be sent after 2 mins.

I currently have an Outlook Rule which delays all email delivery by 2 minutes. All my outgoing email sits in the Outbox for 2 minutes and then is sent.
When I use the VIVA Suggested Send Delay Delivery feature it suggests the time of the person in their working hours and says when I hit send it will delay delivery. However, it doesn't my Outlook rule is still in effect and the email goes out after 2 minutes.
If I manually go into Delay Delivery and configure the date and time myself for that email it will delay delivery until that time and date.
- JessicaIronsCopper ContributorI don't have a delay delivery rule in place, but for some reason my delay send in Viva engage no longer works. It used to open the Viva side panel to choose a time, but now it just brings up the panel with no options and it's completely unclear if having clicked delay send actually did anything.
