Unable to Add Exchange 2019 Email Account (Ionos) to Outlook (New) on Windows 11
Hello everyone, unfortunately, I am unable to add my Ionos (Exchange 2019) email account to the Outlook Windows app. On Windows 10, it was still possible to manually configure an Outlook account, which worked fine. However, on Windows 11, this option is no longer available, and I can’t revert to the previous version of Outlook either. When I try to add the account by selecting Microsoft 365 - Office 365, Exchange and entering my email address, I always get the error message: We couldn't find a work or school account with that email address. I have already contacted Ionos, but they couldn’t solve the issue either. They mentioned that Microsoft doesn’t allow setting up an Exchange account this way, even though the option is listed in the selection menu. Does anyone know how to fix that? Thank you very much!

Had same issue and resolved it this way:
1 - Uninstall O365
2 - Install Outlook2024-64.exe downloaded from IONOS Exchange (xadmin.exchange2019.ionos.co.uk)
3 - Configure Outlook with IONOS exchange (should auto install and configure) - This will create an Outlook profile on the system.
4 - Uninstall Outlook - this will leave the outlook profile.
5 - Reinstall O365
6 - Configure Outlook with a Gmail account.
7 - In Outlook select help and on the ribbon will be revert to Outlook Classic. Fill in the feedback and hit save/send
8 - Outlook will open with your saved profile.

1. Contact the Ionos administrator
Ensure that Modern Authentication is enabled for the mailbox.
If it is not enabled, the administrator needs to enable it in the Exchange backend (path: Settings → Organization → Authentication).
2. Manually configure Outlook (key steps)
Open Outlook → File → Add Account → Enter mailbox and select Manual Configuration.
Select Exchange ActiveSync or EWS and fill in:
Incoming server: outlook.office365.com (port 993, SSL)
Outgoing server: smtp.office365.com (port 587, TLS)
3.Quick Verification
Visit the web version of Outlook Login directly to your mailbox to verify that your account is working.
If the web version is available, the problem probably lies in the client configuration.
Other considerations
4. Update Outlook to the latest version (check in Microsoft Store).
Check whether the system time and firewall block Outlook from accessing the network.
