Outlook question - re Exchange Online (Plan 1) mailbox

Hi brains-trust community!

Question for you - a shared mailbox won't work for our business as I need all 'sent' items to be from the email address that belongs to the shared mailbox and my understanding is that any replies will be from the user's individual email address so any subsequent replies will go to that email address instead of the shared mailbox (please correct me if I' wrong here). So I'm thinking that we can get a Exchange Online (Plan 1) subscription that will give us an email mailbox that we can all then log into, read emails and respond to,  in addition to our individual work email addresses? Does that sounds reasonable?

Thanks for any advice, it will be much appreciated!

Give anyone that uses that shared mailbox send as permissions. Add that mailbox ot Outlook as a new account in stead of additional mailbox and authenticate with the user's credentials. Select the shared mailbox and compose a new message, it will be sent from that mailbox and even be stored in the sent items folder from the shared mailbox.

HuigGuijt Thank you! So if a staff member replies to an email received in the shared mailbox, it will show as being sent from that shared mailbox?

As long as he configures his Outlook client like described, sure.
