ZOOM malfunction

Likely caused by the following:
Scroll Wheel Zooming Instead of Navigating
If Ctrl + Scroll Wheel is zooming instead of navigating, you may have accidentally enabled "Zoom on Roll with Intellimouse".
Fix:
Go to File > Options > Advanced
Scroll down to the "Editing Options" section.
Uncheck "Zoom on roll with Intellimouse"
Click OK
If the solutions don’t work, try:
Try using a different mouse or disconnecting the mouse to see if the issue stops.
Restarting Excel & Your Computer
Updating Office (Go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now)
Repairing Office (Control Panel > Programs > Microsoft 365 > Repair)
