Can anyone advise me how to solve the following issue.
When i copy and paste from 1 excel sheet to a new sheet, the date is being automatically changed to 2013? I've been told i had to go into preferences, calculations, work book options and then use 1904 system. However i am using a HP laptop not imac so this has not solved the problem.
Can anyone help?
Hi,
That doesn't matter on which OS you are working, start calendar date is workbook option. The only difference the default settings are different, 1900 and 1904 on PC and Mac accordingly.
You may open new workbook, enter any date (e.g. 2017-05-04), after that to change the calendar option in the settings of this workbook (as you were advised) - and you will see what the date will be displayed as 2021-05-05.
It looks like your workbooks have different setting.
