Workbook links and csv files

"When I go into manage workbook links it only targets the csv files. " Are you sure Excel can link CSVs? My Excel does not offer .csv as a valid file extension when trying Change Source/Browse on a link. I only ever import values from CSV (which is an altogether different dialogue).
