Windows 11, Excel- Remove Comments & Share links above the ribbon
MS upgrade added the 2 icons at very top right of Excel. I will never use those and they are visually annoying. How can I remove them? TIA

To remove the “Comments” and “Share” buttons in Excel on Windows 11, you can customize the ribbon.
Here is how:
- Open Excel.
- Right-click on the ribbon and select “Customize the Ribbon”.
- In the right pane, select “Comments” and “Share”.
- Click on the “Remove” button.
- Click “OK”.
This should remove the buttons from the ribbon.
Please note that Windows 11 and Excel 365 may have additional or different options for customizing the ribbon compared to earlier versions, so users on Windows 11 should follow these steps to remove the buttons from the ribbon. The text and the steps have been created with the help of various AI's.

NikolinoDE Hello I still need help from anyone that can fix this that microsoft broke with last upgrade.
Thank you for voluneering and thanks for the help. Doesnt work though. Your response indicates the comments and share are about 3 click from a fix and are visible on the first screen. They are not. Those options are not in the I click customize ribbon, excel options panel opens. on left is panel with 11 categories starting with General and ending with trust center. "customize RIbbon" is highlighted. There is panel for popular commands with drop down with 9 options. Staying on Customize ribbon under the first panel to right of that there are about 30 commands. None are comments or share. The top of third panel (farthest to right) under "customize ribbon reads "main tab". You never mention any of these other panels or tabs. on top of third panel I change it from All Tabs to Main Tabs. No real help, just adds mor things to search through, I reslected Main tabs. I arrow down and "click each" Command level with Green and a checkmark. Not the first, nor the second, but the third one reads "Insert", under that I see "comments" clicked it, on the left clicked remove. Clicked OK. Closed excel. opened excel. "comments" is still on the top right. HELP i still need this fixed

To my knowledge it's not possible to remove these buttons. Perhaps they could be disabled through registry (i.e. not clickable), but they will be in UI.
