Thanks you for raising this... I’ve also been looking for a reliable way to embed Word and Excel files from Microsoft services directly into my website.
So far, I’ve been using Google Drive because I wasn’t sure how to embed Office documents properly.
For now, I just provide downloadable templates on my blog, mainly for administrative use in village governance in Indonesia:
