What is going on with Excel?
I am a 20+ year user of Excel and I've never seen such unreliability from my most favorite application and quite frankly I'm appalled.
Since 2014 I've been using Microsoft Office 365, new position, and have installed every update available as they become available. At random times, semi-weekly, Excel crashes or I get spinners and have to end the program. I've encountered countless hours of data reconstruction because of crashes and hang-ups.
I've researched possible ressons for the crashes and hangs but the solutions are more troublesome than the problem. I don't know about most companies but ours does not have a dedicated MCP to try and sort through solutions nor the time needed to investigate. The listed solutions are more like a treasure hunt than a map to reclaim your install, why? Has Microsoft lost sight of their own property and put it at the hands of 3rd party developers to govern how Excel should run?
My real problem is why? Why has such a rock-solid program become tainted by flaws? Why can Excel not handle COM's at all, the program solution to COM problems is to crash. What the heck has happened to my go to program for everything from a basic calculator to logical ODBC calls?

Sorry to hear your having issues with Excel. Please submit the crash via the tool when it provides this option. We use this data to pin point issues and solve them. Because your an Office 365 subscriber you also have access to support, you can get the link from your 365 portal.
