vlookup

I need help creating a formula that will search 2 columns and determine when an input value is >= column A and =< Column B and returns Column C

It depends on your data setup.

It could be:

=LOOKUP(E1,$A$1:$A$10,$C$1:$C$10)

    Thank you ... that worked perfectly... made me feel like an idiot.  I was trying vlookup and if and all kinds of **bleep**...
