VLOOKUP

Hi there,

I was making an automated nutrition plan and I've been struggling with this one problem for a long time now...

Whenever I use VLOOKUP and try to multiply it with another cell, it gives me the #VALUE! error. The problem is the fact that the VLOOKUP doesn't result in a value (which I checked with the (ISNUMBER) function), but in something else.

The basic layout is set to a number, so that ain't the problem.

I'll leave some screenshots here. Does anyone know which mistake I'm making?

PS: language is set to Dutch, VERT.ZOEKEN = VLOOKUP & WAARDE = NUMBER, & ONWAAR = FALSE.

Thanks a lot!

  • 1039544 Since you are using Dutch Excel, you need to use commas for the decimal indicator. Now, all your 'numbers' ar texts except the few "0,0" that are right-aligned and visible in the screenshot . Use Find & Replace (ctrl-H) and replace all dots (period) with commas and that should resolve the issue.
