how do I recover a prior version of a spreadsheet that autosave wrote over?
If you have File history switched on you can go to Windows Explorer, right-click the file in question and choose Properties and then click the Previous versions tab to find older copies. If the file is on Sharepoint you can also find previous versions, how depends on your sharepoint version and implementation.
