Use dropdown to expose hidden rows

I am trying to create a spreadsheet to show a p/l statement.  I want to display figures and hide rows with the information that shows where the figures come from.  

Using the example blow.  I want to hide the rows with the week ending payroll numbers but want to have a dropdown feature on OFF. Payroll cell to show where the figures come from.
