US to UK dates
Hello. I am creating a database where i need to put dates in however I'm having to input the date into the formula bar in US format to get the date in the cell how i want it as a UK date. I have formatted the cells as UK and am using EDATE to get the follow up date but it's converting it into US. Is there a way to make it so i can just type the UK format into the formula bar and it copies it? Thanks.
- JKPieterseSilver ContributorIt should do this automatically in Excel. If you start Excel in safe mode (press and hold control while you start Excel), does it accept UK dates?
If so, perhaps a setting has been changed under File, Options, Advanced tab, scroll down to find "Use system separators", this should be checked. Also, open Windows settings (or control panel, depending on your version of Windows) and make sure your country (Region) is set properly. - Steven TavenerCopper ContributorThank you. The default language was set to US in windows.
