Urgent help needed - copying conditional formatting to new cells

I have added conditional formatting to cell C6, there are 2 rules for that cell.

  1. if cell C7 is equal to or greater than C6 show green
  2. if C7 is less than C6 show red.

I need to copy that formatting so that it works for every cell on row 7

Ie. D7 to look at D6, E7 to look at E6, F7 to look at F6 etc

When I copy and paste formatting to the cells across row 7 it doesn’t work. Is there a way I can do this without having to manually add the conditional formatting to each cell on row 7?

You should be able to apply conditional formatting to a range.

This one works for me. Am on a Mac, so your screen may look different but the settings will look similar on all platforms. The picture demonstrates how it works for a range C7:F7, but you can expand it to your liking. The yellow cell is in C6 and has no conditional format as it is your starting point.
