Unsupported function in MAC Excel 2016
I have Excel for MAC 2016. A colleague, who uses Office 265, sent me a spreadsheet where he created a MAXIFS function based formula. When I look at the formula a prefix "_xlfn." has been added to the formula and if I do anything in the spreadsheet, other than just look, it prompts Excel to fill in all the fields in the column that has that formula with "#NAME?". Why does this happen? Shouldn't my version of Excel accept these functions?

Hi Albert,
MAXIFS is available only for Office365 subscribers https://support.office.com/en-us/article/maxifs-function-dfd611e6-da2c-488a-919b-9b6376b28883
It is not recognized by your Excel if you are not on subscription.
