Unsolvable #Value error
- KocielNov 07, 2023Copper Contributor
mathetes Thank you for your reply! Unfortunately, when I tried to do as you said, I'm seeing "#VALUE" error again (when using formula) and when "clicking" to do so, nothing changes... Also, I can't even change the decimal format, it's stuck at 3... It seems like this is locked and no changes can be made to this cell/column...

I'm downloading the spreadsheet from a data provider, then it goes to Numbers and afterwards I convert it to Excel. I tried using the "Get info" method to open files in Excel right away, but this doesn't work either.
Is that original data from the provider coming to you as a CSV file? Try right-clicking on the file to get the option of opening with Excel rather than with Numbers, which is the default, which is used if you just click on the file name in a Mac. But you do have the option with a right click to select Excel directly.
