Unable to select a group of cells in a spreadsheet by dragging using mouse or by shift and arrows

Hi,I was wondering if anyone can help me.I am unable to select a group of cells in Excel like I used to.&nbsp;&nbsp;If I hold down the shift key and use the arrows to select say 10 cells, it might highlight 6 and then it stops highlighting cells.The same thing happens if I use the mouse to select a group of cells.Any help would be greatly appreciated.&nbsp;
