Unable to refresh external data source on Mac for a Excel created on Windows
Hi - I'm trying to refresh data from an external data source (text file) on Excel 2016 Mac. The Excel that I'm trying to refresh data for was created on a Windows laptop. The text file data source connections were configured on Windows laptop previously, the external data text file exists, however, I'm not able to refresh data on Mac. Can you please help?

Vkanthich I suspect that the connection was made using Power Query. If so, then you can not refresh that particular connection on a Mac. More about what you can refresh on a Mac in the link below.

I'm not sure if I understood you right, but is it possible that u have linked your external data different than Windows, so Mac is unable to refresh it?
