My knowledge on this topic is limited (to put it mildly). But that didn't stop me from doing some research for them on the Internet.
Here are the links I found about it:
Change numbers into Arabic words
Additionaly, here are some steps, how you can do it maybe with diferend setup:
1. Enable Arabic Language: If Arabic is not already enabled on your system, you may need to add it as a language option in your Windows settings. To do this:
- Go to the "Control Panel" on your computer.
- Select "Clock and Region" or "Region and Language" (the exact name may vary depending on your Windows version).
- Click on "Language" or "Add a language."
- Search for "Arabic" and add it to your language list.
- Set Arabic as the default language if desired.
2. Switch Input Language: Once Arabic is enabled, you can switch the input language to Arabic while typing in Excel. You can do this by:
- Clicking on the language indicator in the taskbar (usually located at the bottom-right corner of the screen) and selecting "Arabic" from the list of available languages.
- Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut Alt + Shift to switch between input languages.
3. Type Arabic Text: After switching to the Arabic input language, you can start typing Arabic text directly into Excel cells. The text will be entered from right to left, which is the standard direction for Arabic script.
4. Type Arabic Numbers: Arabic numbers can be typed the same way as English numbers. However, if you prefer to use Arabic-Indic numerals (٠١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨٩) instead of Western numerals (0-9), you may need to change the number format:
- Select the cells containing numbers that you want to format.
- Right-click and choose "Format Cells."
- In the "Format Cells" dialog box, go to the "Number" tab.
- Under "Category," select "Custom."
- In the "Type" field, enter 0 for Arabic-Indic numerals.
- Click "OK" to apply the formatting.
With these steps, you can easily type Arabic text and numbers in Microsoft Excel. Remember to switch back to your default input language after finishing typing in Arabic if necessary.
