Trying to type a foreign phone number

Question

I put an Italian phone number in one of the fields in excel and it thinks it is a formula and tries to correct it to conform to your formula procedures.&nbsp; IT IS NOT A FORMULA but a phone number.&nbsp; Why can't I keep it in my excel data-base?

Hi&nbsp;John_Frederick, what does Excel say when you are on the Home tab? I've attached a screenshot of the area I am referring to, Excel likely has it under 'General' and you will need to either change it to Number or create a Custom format for it.

Try prefixing the phone number with an apostrophe '
