trouble unhiding rows

If neither of the suggested solutions works, I suspect that the rows are not only hidden but that they have been given (perhaps accidentally) a very small row height. Unhiding will change the status of the rows, but it will still not make them visible.
Try selecting all cells in the sheet (the triangle in the top left corner of the sheet) and set the row height to (for instance) 15.
