town-level heat map in excel?
I need to create a heat map containing all towns in my state, but the closest I can find to this in excel is a heat map by zip code. Because larger cities have multiple zip codes it doesn't show the ...

Afraid Map Charts doesn't work on this level, it supports only high-level geographical details

I've not ever used the map charting function--it does look useful. In scanning through the page that Sergei pointed to, I did notice down on the page a section that talked about "Disambiguation" -- what a word!!!-- and the accompanying text seemed to suggest that you could clarify or supplement a list of common town names (ambiguous) by an additional column naming associated country or county--making me wonder if you couldn't ambiguate (there I created my own new word!) the multiple zip codes of a single town or city into a grouping for each city. It might be laborious, maybe too much so, but maybe not....
Anyway, just a thought.
